Kuzuko Lodge - Your Stay in Addo

Eleven thatched roof chalets come with a private deck overlooking the Karoo plains. Each chalet includes a tea and coffee station, air conditioning, a bath with a view, walk-in shower, and separate toilet. Five chalets are family-friendly (pull-out sofa bed for two children under 13 or one child 13+), and three chalets are fully accessible. A minibar is available on request.

Executive Chef Laurenzo Pieterson serves modern South African dishes using local ingredients like Karoo lamb from the farm next door and home-grown herbs. Meals include a full breakfast menu, Karoo high tea, and a four-course gourmet dinner. Options range from romantic private breakfasts on the sunrise deck to bush dinners under the stars in the love spot.

Twice daily game drives (morning with coffee stop, afternoon with sundowners) explore the 14200 hectare private reserve with low guest density and carbon-neutral drives. Guides point out wildlife from the Big Five to dung beetles. Guests can also join guided nature walks in Hopewell (meet resident giraffes) or self-guided hikes. The Inzolo Spa offers couples massages, salt scrubs, facials, plus an infrared sauna, gym, and infinity pool.

Kuzuko Lodge is in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, about 2.5 hours from Port Elizabeth airport. The drive uses the N2, N10, and a 50km dirt road; an SUV is recommended. Transfers from the airport can be arranged. The lodge sits on a hill in the Zuurberg Mountains with views across the Karoo plains and valleys.

The lodge offers 24-hour security, daily housekeeping with evening turndown, laundry and ironing service, and free Wi-Fi.
